SLOW BURN:
DAVID DUKE
As a production assistant, my work consisted of reporting, producing, and archival research.
In addition to booking studios, tape syncs, and guests all over the world, I recorded interviews in Slate's podcasting studios and remotely during the coronavirus lockdowns.
While researching, I coordinated with archives at universities, court houses, presidential collections, and libraries of all kinds throughout Louisiana (and the country) to gather relevant documents and materials. Additionally, I gathered hundreds of archival audio and video clips and organized hundreds of archival articles and documents.
My work also included helping prep our host for interviews, conducting pre-interviews with dozens of potential sources, and fact-checking all episodes.
